Loop Campus
Loop Campus

Downtown Chicago bustles just outside the doors of the Loop Campus, located at Jackson and State streets. The heart of the campus is the DePaul Center, a historic building that housed Goldblatt's flagship department store for more than 30 years. DePaul Center features modern classrooms, high-tech student services, a general library, and a Barnes & Noble bookstore. The Colleges of Commerce and Law, the School for New Learning and the College of Computing and Digital Media are based here, just steps from the stock exchanges, many corporate headquarters and Chicago's business district.

Steps away from some of Chicago's most beloved cultural institutions, the Loop campus offers students all the advantages of a university campus with the facilities and connections to the city's thriving business community.

DePaul's Writing Centers encourage students to take charge of their writing by offering them help and feedback. They help students become better writers as they draft and revise their work, and act as readers, helping students to fully develop their ideas and understand how an awareness of audience can help them clarify and connect their points. They also provide assistance to students for whom English is a second or third language. Additionally, they help students deal with technology and writing, Internet research issues, and offer feedback on questions about document design.
