The Center to Advance Education for Adults (CAEA) engages diverse communities to improve adult education practice. The CAEA accomplishes this by providing a venue for researchers and practitioners to study the most effective and imaginative strategies for curriculum, teaching and mentoring of adults.

The CAEA was created to influence the future direction of higher education by creating a vehicle to explore options of how to best serve adult learners. CAEA fulfills this mission in four core initiatives: research, programs, conferences and consulting; as well as hosting regular Community Conversations.
