The DePaul University Cultural Center was formed in 1996 from the combined efforts of African American and Latino students, staff, faculty and administrators. The Center embodies DePaul University's commitment as a Catholic, Urban and Vincentian university by acknowledging and promoting awareness and respect for diverse ways of living and world views. The Cultural Center offers programs, scholarly and entertaining discussions, presentations, travel and community service opportunities that relate to and include a variety of cultures: Native American, Latino/a, Asian, African American, Muslim, Jewish and Gay/Lesbian coalitions. The modern hip hop culture is also included in our programming.
The Center's staff collaborates with other Center staff, academic and staff departments to design interesting, scholarly and entertaining functions for the DePaul community.
