Cheryl Procter-Rogers
Vice President, Public Relations and Communications
Cheryl Procter-Rogers joined DePaul University in August 2009 to fill the newly created position of vice president for Public Relations and Communications.
During her 30-year career, Procter-Rogers worked with a variety of corporations in a number of business sectors. She served in management positions for HBO, Nielsen Marketing Research and Golden State Mutual Life Insurance Company. As a consultant, her clients have included Coca-Cola, Nissan, Allstate, McCain Foods and Magellan Corporation.
Reporting to the president, Procter-Rogers is responsible for integrating and strengthening university-wide communication efforts to promote and enhance DePaul's visibility. She oversees media relations and internal, external and presidential communication.
No stranger to higher education and DePaul, she has guest lectured on more than 20 college campuses in the last seven years. She served as professional advisor to the Public Relations Student Society of America for several years at DePaul before agreeing to serve on the newly formed advisory council for DePaul's College of Communication last year.
She was the 2006 national president and CEO of the Public Relations Society of America, a volunteer position. She has authored many articles, contributed to several books, been featured in many publications and is frequently quoted in the media on matters pertaining to the public relations industry.
Procter-Rogers earned her bachelor's degree from Bradley University and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
