Sophisticated elegance, world-renowned food and fashion, Italy is at the heart of Europe and the world. Speaking Italian makes any stay in Italy more rewarding and enjoyable. A major or minor in Italian can open up a wealth of opportunities, from positions in teaching, to government, to music and cultural organizations.

Italian majors are now working in a variety of careers. Several have gone on to prestigious graduate programs in Italian at the University of Chicago and elsewhere; others are studying or working in Rome, Milan and Florence. Still others have obtained positions in government and consulting firms. One recent graduate is a web designer with close ties to Italian business. The possibilities abound!

The DePaul Study Abroad Office offers students the opportunity to study in Rome for three months every fall. Students are required to have one quarter of Italian minimum before studying abroad.
