Mark Elsen

Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Systems & Operations


As assistant vice president for Enrollment Systems & Operations, Mark Elsen has led a number of major projects that have played a part in DePaul University's significant enrollment growth since 2006. His leadership, built upon his 21 years of experience in various admission positions at DePaul, has contributed to the transformation of DePaul's enrollment operations and systems.

In his role, Mark oversees the PeopleSoft systems and processes that support Admission and Financial Aid, initiatives involving PeopleSoft patches and system upgrades, and production support to the end user community. His area also supports systems outside of PeopleSoft including the Course Applicability System (CAS) and the Smart App online admission application. Mark also directs the operations areas responsible for processing undergraduate applications, handling incoming phone inquiries regarding undergraduate and graduate programs and conducting phone calling campaigns for administrative units throughout the university.

Mark holds a bachelor of science in Marketing from Northern Illinois University. In 2005, Mark received the Ken McHugh Service Award, a special university acknowledgement of his quality service to the community.
