DePaul acquired this five-story historic building in 1989, and after extensive renovation, began using it to house students in air-conditioned studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments.

All Sanctuary apartments have a full kitchen, at least one private bathroom, and include a dishwasher. There is a common lounge area in the lobby on the second floor, a study area and computer lab on the first floor, and a laundry room located in the basement. Sanctuary also features a 24-hour staffed desk along with a key card swipe entry.
