Academics
Choose from more than 130 majors, add a minor, and don’t be afraid to change your mind.
Whether the majority of your classes are in Lincoln Park or the Loop, you’ll have a college experience that is rooted in Chicago.
Chicago is your classroom
Our open campuses mean that you’re not just in the city–you’re part of it. Find a summer internship at a startup or Fortune 500 company down the block from the Loop campus. Go see the beluga whales at the Shedd Aquarium or get up close to famous paintings at the Art Institute.
It’s easy to get around
We’re on the quarter system
That means classes meet for 10 weeks at a time, so you get to take a greater range of them over the year. You’ll find a variety of courses that pique your interest and count for credits in ways you might not expect. Most students have Fridays off, plus we have a sweet 6-week winter break.
Class sizes are small so you won’t be just a name on the class roster, and your profs work in their industries, which means you’ll get their insight and connections to internships and jobs.
Career prep starts right away
Step 1? Get to know the Career Center. They’ll help you with all the other steps on the way to landing a great first job. Also, part of your junior year will be spent working and learning in your field of study, which can be research, a project in the community or an internship.
No need to stress - more than 90% of 2016 DePaul grads are employed or continuing their studies 6 months after graduation.
You’ll leave with more than a degree to hang on the wall–you’ll have the theory down, the skills in your pocket, and examples of your work ready to show the world.
